Nemours is seeking a Project Manager (Full-Time) to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.
This position is responsible for : Management of the Design Phase and construction of renovations, equipment replacement, infrastructure upgrades and replacement, and new construction projects within the Nemours enterprise.
Will work within the Corporate Facilities Department as a member of that team in delivering the highest level of customer service to the Nemours Enterprise.
Position will be key leader in defining the scope to the end-user’s project, leading the design process, and managing the construction and occupancy so that the project is brought in on time and on budget.
Will be involved in the development of Nemours standards in the Hospital, Clinic, and other Nemours facilities. Understanding of AHCA review, approval, and construction processes.
- Prepare and execute contracts and manage the design team and their consultants during the design phase.
- Prepare and execute contracts and manage the construction team and their consultants during the construction phase.
- Prepare project budget estimates and reports.
- Keep clear lines of communication with Director as it relates to assigned projects.
- Complete through reviews of the construction documents to insure they meet the intended program of the projects.
- Ensure that the end-user is kept informed of all developments throughout the entire project.
- Assist in obtaining all required state (AHCA) and local permits that the project requires.
- Be a team leader in the Corporate Facilities Department in delivering the highest level of customer service.
- Assist Corporate and on-site Facility Managers to perform facility audits and inspections.
- Be a good listener and interrupter and understand the client’s needs and desires.
- Problem solving with contractors, designers, and end-users.
- Ability to travel within the Central and North Florida regions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum (5) five years of experience required.
- Healthcare Construction Management experience required.
- Experience working with AHCA required.
- Knowledge of Agile project management principles and experience managing project teams utilizing Agile.
- Formal project management training and Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute preferred.
- Travel is required.
