Francois & Co. is a luxury brand that has continually provided Architectural Surfaces for high-end residential / commercial applications for the past 25 years.
Headquartered in Atlanta, we manufacture mantels, range hoods, and architectural elements in our trademark Scagliola Stone, along with metal fabrication for counters, range hoods and mantels.
We also import a curated collection of cut to size stone flooring, stone architectural details, and wood flooring from across the globe.
The Architectural CAD position provides drafting support to the sales and operations team. This position develops and modifies drawings for high-end kitchen hoods, countertops, fireplace mantels, flooring and architectural details.
This is a collaborative role with opportunities for skill growth.
In this role the candidate will have access to our standard library of drawings to execute our collections within the parameters of
- The project’s specific site conditions
- Within mold / product guidelines
- Custom creations based on Architectural Drawings or Inspiration Pictures

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Produce and maintain shop drawings for multiple projects using AutoCAD
- Review project plans, requirements and specification to execute detailed drawings
- Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing Plant, and Procurement Department to ensure drawings can be executed
- Update red-lined requests
- Measure templates to translate into a CAD drawing
- Prepare quantity Take-Offs, and when applicable Bill of Quantities
- Assist in production drawings
- Maintain established CAD standards and specifications
- Execute clean, clear, and concise drawings
- Propose creative solutions to help streamline and increase productivity
- Performs addition duties associated with this position
Requirements :
- Minimum of 3 years of drafting experience using AutoCAD for residential design or manufacturing
- Understanding of architectural drawing conventions, including the ability to read and interpret complex architectural blueprints, construction drawings / elevations / sections, specifications, finish schedules and unit matrices.
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organizational, communication and time management skills
- Exhibit ownership of daily responsibilities while representing Francois & Co, with integrity and pride
- Strive to continually exceed client and coworker expectations
- Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Additional Ideal skillsets for Candidate
- 3D CAD experience
- Rhino experience
- Experience with estimating software, preferably PlanSwift
- Preparation / coordination of complete / accurate estimated on construction projects
- Preparation of
o Shop Drawings
o Cut tickets
o Bill of Quantities
- Verification of quotes and quantities from suppliers
- Experience in staircase construction and architectural cut to size
Job Type : Full-time
Salary : $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
