Corporate Counsel

Konexo US is seeking an experienced corporate generalist for a 12-month long secondment with a client in the greater Houston area.

This opportunity is an independent contractor role for project-based work and is ideal for individuals who are freelancing or looking for limited duration opportunities.

• Start date : January 2025
• Work pattern : Part-time hours, 20 per week,
• Contract duration : 12 months, with possibility of extension
• Location : Greater Houston Area

What you should have :

• 5+ years’ in-house experience as a corporate counsel handling a range of legal, compliance and litigation matters
• Experience including, but not limited to, providing advice and guidance on legal and compliance matters, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, performing due diligence, and managing litigation matters
• Experience providing legal counsel on a variety of subjects, including regulations, data privacy and use, and intellectual property
• Experience in the following industries ideal : Energy, Oil & Gas, Renewables, and Maritime
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Active member of the Texas state bar
