Job Summary

Responsible for assisting with instructional tasks to assist the teaching staff. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Essential Performance Requirements*

  • Administers classroom activities to students including those with disabilities
  • Identifies academic needs of students and gives instructions needed to remedy deficiencies in specified discipline
  • Helps students with study skills and methods of study
  • Responds to technical needs
  • Supports and coordinates activities with faculty
  • Coordinates and schedules lab usage
  • Prepares and maintains classrooms for applicable learning activities

Service Excellence

  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
  • Supports the values of the College : teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
  • Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

Required Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
  • Skilled using computer applications and enterprise systems, including the Microsoft Office suite and the Microsoft 365 platform

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
