About The Position
Job Title : Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty : Respiratory Therapy Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour day shift, rotating weekends, on-call as needed Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory experience, including critical care with pediatrics License : Active CRT or RRT certification Certifications : Active BLS (must be AHA), PALS, NRP Must-Have : Experience with EKGs and EPIC charting Job Description : Provide respiratory therapies for patients of all ages, from newborn to geriatric.
- Manage mechanical ventilators and perform arterial blood gas draws and analysis.- Participate in emergent airway management.
- Administer medication nebulizer treatments.- Conduct EKG acquisition and other diagnostic procedures.- Utilize adult ventilator management and non-invasive ventilation equipment.
- Perform bedside spirometry and aerosol therapy.- Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems, including Meditech and Pyxis Supply Stations.
- Flexibility to float to different areas within the facility as needed.- Adhere to the dress code, wearing scrubs (not provided).
- Undergo 2-3 days of orientation to the department.
