Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist
Location : Parker, Colorado
Job Summary : Join our dynamic team at Parker Public Schools as a Speech-Language Pathologist! We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional who is passionate about helping students with speech and language disorders reach their full potential.
The ideal candidate will meet all licensure and certification requirements to work in Colorado schools.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in academic and social settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student IEPs.
- Provide education and training to parents, teachers, and other staff members on speech and language development and strategies.
- Stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology through professional development activities.
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment and intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Licensure and Certifications :
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Valid Colorado State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
