Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Registered Nurse functions as member of a clinical team in the provision of health care in a fast-paced college health center.
Responsibilities include obtaining pertinent medical information during check-in; educating patients; providing care and treatment to patients consistent with nursing practice and theory;
and administering vaccinations and performing basic laboratory tests. Must demonstrate the ability to accurately assess a patient’s medical problem.
May assume a lead role in the clinic whenever necessary. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Graduate of a state accredited school of professional nursing
- Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina, by the N.C. Board of Nursing
- Current CPR certification Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required Certifications or Licensure
- Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina, by the N.C. Board of Nursing
- Current CPR certification Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
