Alltroo, the innovative professional fundraising platform, is searching for a Digital Marketing Manager with an encyclopedic knowledge of sports to join our passionate team in Minneapolis, MN, to help us grow the game of giving.

Here's the ideal candidate scouting report :

You're a sports fanatic, fluent in the world of athletes, teams and leagues. You know the difference between Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Judge.

Same for Bubba Watson versus Bubba Wallace.

Sharp wit and content creation skills are a must. You'll translate your sports knowledge into engaging social and email content that leverages trends and resonates with our passionate fan base.

  • Self-starting and strategic, you're a mini-marketing power play-er. You thrive on taking clear direction and then independently formulating and executing winning campaigns.
  • You’re a builder, with a track record of nurturing vibrant online communities through interactive content and engagement strategies across social channels and fan groups in places like Reddit and Facebook.

Juggling multiple projects is your game. You excel at prioritizing tasks, managing deadlines and striving for accuracy without fumbling the ball.

Here’s the time allocation breakdown for the role :

  • 30% Marketing Strategy : Craft brilliant social media, CRM and influencer marketing strategies that leverage your sports expertise to maximize fundraising impact.
  • 60% Campaign Planning & Execution : You'll be our game-changing point person, managing social media, email and influencer relationships with precision.
  • 10% Thought Leadership : Mine social media trends and cultural conversations to inform short and long-term planning.

Here's the day-to-day game plan :

  • Social Media Content Creation : Partner with our creative team to develop sports-centric content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Social Media Community Engagement : Build a strong, engaged community by leveraging your sports knowledge to create compelling conversations talking with vs talking at potential fans.
  • CRM (Email & SMS) Planning & Activation : Develop and execute targeted email and SMS campaigns that drive fundraising success.
  • Influencer Outreach and Strategy : Collaborate with creators both directly and via scaled creator platforms to support our go-to-market plans.
  • Talent Partnership Liaison : Collaborate with athletes, influencers and sports organizations to establish impactful fundraising partnerships.
  • Social Media Trend Spotter : Identify trending sports trends and memes, and then seamlessly integrate them into go to market initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of digital marketing experience.
  • History of building, nurturing and growing social communities, ideally within sports or entertainment, across social channels including fan groups on Facebook and Reddit.
  • Deep understanding and personal usage of all major platforms, especially Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube and LinkedIn.
  • Background in copywriting is a bonus, but a way with words and an eye for design are a must!
  • Understanding of social media measurement and analysis, and a keen desire to further prove out digital marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Coming up with fresh ideas to engage our online community is your happy place.
  • Ability to manage multiple Rallies (Alltroo's term for campaigns) and deadlines like a pro.
  • Culture connoisseur, you have your finger on the pulse of what's hot in sports and entertainment.
  • Attention to detail guides your day to day, and you can work independently while also collaborating seamlessly with the team.
  • Entrepreneurial-minded, you’re comfortable with ambiguity and embody a self-starter mentality.
