StoneTurn is seeking a qualified Senior Consultant to join our Construction and Real Estate Practice.
Job Summary
In this position you will be responsible for the execution of client engagements as it relates to advisory, investigation and compliance matters in the construction and real estate industries.
You will add value to our team by having prior audit and investigation experience and technical expertise within construction and real estate.
This position requires you to be a person with superior organization, technical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Leverage prior experience to perform auditing of construction costs.
- Review, analyze, and summarize client documents and recommend action steps based on observations to management.
- Create client deliverables and present findings to senior management, Partners and external stakeholders.
- Balance multiple priorities and projects and prepare quality client deliverables while communicating project and task status to internal team members.
- Collaborate with multiple StoneTurn practice areas to deliver coordinated services.
- Participate in business development initiatives; research and identify opportunities to pursue to expand the Firm's existing client base;
assist with the proposal process (RFP) including the preparation of budget estimates.
- Demonstrate professionalism and foster a team-oriented environment through a positive and cooperative attitude.
- Maintain confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work product.
- Assist with engagement management administration, including billing and conflict checks as needed.
- Mentor Consultants and Interns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business; accounting is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as an auditor in professional services, the construction industry, or related fields. CPA certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction management methods, approaches, and generally accepted practices.
- Understanding of construction and project processes, including but not limited to, procurement, contracting, forecasting, and change management.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, Project.
- Flexibility with the travel requirements of client engagements.
- Excellent organizational and verbal / written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform technical projects, manage team and client expectations.
