The Product Manager develops, implements, and manages product marketing activities to provide optimum sales and profits to the assigned product line.

Use best practices in product discovery in which engineers and manufacturing can seamlessly develop products. The Product Manager determines short and long-term strategies and tactics for product marketing.

Evaluates the effectiveness of programs and concepts. Maintains an understanding of product features, benefits, pricing, positioning, design, and advertising.

This role is responsible for the growth and profitability of the aftermarket parts and supplies business for Thermal Supply, Inc.

Position Responsibilities may include :

  • Identify and prioritize business opportunities through Voice of Customer and market share analysis.
  • Develop business cases for the development of new products, including recommending product positioning and pricing strategy to produce the lowest cost products, and attain the highest possible margins and long-term market share.
  • Manage product life cycles by establishing short and long-range visions for products.
  • Develop product specifications to meet the voice of customer needs for markets.
  • Effectively communicate product development priorities and product / project progress.
  • Evaluate and escalate risks in projects / products to supervisor and senior management when appropriate.
  • Monitor competitive activities / products and provide continuous gap analysis in products / services.
  • Apply knowledge of regulatory requirements for products.
  • Contribute to the development of product forecasts.
  • Evaluate and recommend product inventory levels.
  • Establish price to market through margin analysis and competitive positions.
  • Provide sales support for product benefits and features internally and externally (Product / Dealer Meetings)
  • Perform additional projects / duties to support ongoing business needs.
  • Call on HVAC Dealers in conjunction with or without TSM participation.
  • Grow top line of aftermarket business through higher % share of wallet or development of new accounts.
  • Work with operations on setting up and maintaining showrooms to showcase parts.
  • Work with Daikin aftermarket parts team on initiatives and promotions.
  • Product and business training of CSR’s, BM’s, TSM’s and dealers through direct or coordination with suppliers.
  • Assist with Inventory management goals and objectives.
  • Maintain top line growth, GM contribution, and market pricing integrity.
  • Assist Corporate Product management and marketing in the evaluation of new products and suppliers.
  • New product introduction, provide local market intelligence, support all aftermarket marketing initiatives.
  • Control all regional quoting and enforces corporate pricing initiatives and guidelines.
  • Work with local vendors and manufacturing reps.

  • Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.

  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC technology, components, and industry.
  • Experience with an HVAC manufacturer.
  • Advanced knowledge of durable goods manufacturing processes.
  • Influences quality systems.
  • Ability to translate complex problems and ideas into easily understood descriptions.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills to lead multi-functional new product programs to market.
  • Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.
  • Understands gross margin and a P&L.
  • HVAC Product knowledge.
  • Microsoft Excel and related computer skills.
  • Sales experience a plus.
  • Dealer / contractor knowledge a plus.

Experience :

7-10+ years in HVAC or related business experience.

Education / Certification :

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

People Management : No

Pay Range :

$113,300 - $141,650 annually
