Manage construction projects of various sizes, which include :
- Working collaboratively with project team and vendors
- Reviewing drawings and project documents to be proactive about solving issues before they become delays
- Assist in writing RFI's as needed
- Help with reviewing / coordinating submittals & shop drawings
- Prepare project schedule and work with superintendent to update weekly
- Manage change orders : scope development, quantity takeoff, pricing
- Assist with preconstruction efforts
- Work with local authorities and support superintendent as needed to obtain Certificate of Substantial Completion from customer
The ideal candidate will have
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- LEED accreditation
- A minimum of seven years of construction experience
- Knowledge of project schedules, budgets and costs, and contract management
- Good problem-solving skills and must be able to multi-task
- Leadership skills, exceptional communication, and a credible reputation among local and regional subcontractors
- Ability to proactively manage challenging multi-faceted projects with attention to detail, identify and develop solutions to challenges, and adapt quickly to changes
