As a Data Analyst at DED, you'll play a critical role in utilizing data to inform strategic decisions that drive economic growth and diversification.

Job duties will include creating data visualizations to present complex data findings and comprehensive reports that summarize the analysis in a manner that is accessible for stakeholders.
This analysis is needed to generate actionable insights for policymaking, economic strategies, and investment decisions, and to check alignment with organizational goals and respond to community needs.
Data analysis is also needed for economic performance monitoring and evaluation of the impact of various programs, and to conduct data-driven assessments to evaluate economic initiatives.
A successful candidate will need to be familiar with key concepts in statistics and able to use statistical methods to analyze and present economic trends, workforce demographics, industry growth, and regional economic indicators.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, data analysis, finance, economics, or a closely related field ; two (2) years of related work experience in cluding professional research and analysis.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, credit check and DMV driving record check.
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to adjust to a variety of contexts in communication with businesses, governmental officials, and citizens.
Strategic thinker capable of synthesizing information from many sources and ability to use data visualization and statistical methods to communicate and advise both internal and external audiences.
Strong proficiency in Excel is required and demonstrated ability to work with data platforms related to business intelligence and commercial real estate is preferred.
Early morning, evening, weekend work as required.
