We are seeking a Regional Director in Franklin Templeton’s Insurance, Retirement, and 529 channel who would be responsible for covering the Midwest region.
The territory includes North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.
This professional will be responsible for developing and deepening relationships with variable annuity and insurance partners, as well as internal partners, across the Midwest territory.
The ideal candidate will reside in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, or Indiana.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Insurance & 529 Regional Director?
Using discretion, judgment, and the highest level of ethical standards, the Regional Director will be responsible for driving sales of Franklin Templeton strategies placed at our insurance and select 529 clients throughout the territory.
They will play an instrumental role in strengthening our client relationships and building Franklin’s brand awareness and market dominance.
Develop and deepen relationships across client distribution organizations including internal and external wholesaling teams, sales management, and home offices.
Execute business plan that aligns with the goals of the Insurance, Retirement, and 529 channel.
Secure opportunities to present to groups of financial advisors, internal wholesalers, and external wholesalers at a variety of events to provide value add content, economic updates, and strategy sales ideas.
Train wholesaling teams on Franklin strategies and marketing resources to support sales efforts.
Ensure alignment with Strategic Account Team priorities to pursue new mandates and product placements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including teammates, marketing, product management, and Franklin’s multiple investment management organizations in order to surpass client expectations and offer world class support to sales efforts.
Create and communicate client specific sales ideas to increase Franklin’s market share.
Remain a student of the market and industry.
Maintain client engagement activities in Franklin’s CRM system.
Manage expenses in a timely manner and adhere to corporate and regulatory guidelines for advisor and firm sponsorships.
