Job Title : Project Manager

Job Purpose :

Delivers the performance specified in the customer contract while managing the site with an overall perspective, stays within the contract’s scope, assures compliance with procedures and identifies opportunities for customers to better utilize their assets by performing trend analysis while providing effective customer relationship-building relations with plant management, maintenance and controller functions.

Level of Authority :

Performs duties with minimum supervision following established procedures and deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manages overall SETECH site staff to provide continuous improvements and operational excellence in both SETECH and customer operations.
• Works directly with a variety of customer management and employees concerning operational issues and ensuring customer relations are maintained and objectives are established and accomplished through the management of daily site operations and multiple special projects.
• Manage staff personnel (establish training needs, performance evaluation, employee relations, etc.) with review and approval of all actions by Corporate Human Resources.
• Comply with Federal, State and Local regulatory laws.
• Interact with customer maintenance staff and other materials users to identify and develop effective cost saving measures in conjunction with the site technical staff.
• Manage and track key vendor performance and cost savings.
• Interact with and Manage Key Suppliers used as Commodity Managers.
• Monitor Daily site activity reports and address exceptions.
• Develop and present monthly KPI reporting to customer
• Manage site performance to established goals including the site’s annual operating and capital budgets.
• Facilitates and directly oversees the development of technical cost savings ideas with the SETECH technical support staff while maintaining significant interaction with the customer maintenance staff.
• Other tasks / duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :

• Must have effective leadership and managerial skills.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Effective technical understanding to interact with customer maintenance and engineering and provide effective management of site technical resources.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement tools such as Lean Six Sigma and have systems understanding to provide root cause analysis and alternative solutions.
• Literacy on basic personal computer skills and have at least a basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualification :

• A minimum 7 years of progressive work related experience in the areas of engineering and / or maintenance in a major manufacturing environment,
• several years of managerial experience and must possess demonstrated written / verbal interpersonal skills.

This position qualifies for exempt status as defined in the Fair Labor Standards Act.
