About the Team
The VIZIO, Software Product Management team is looking for a highly talented, experienced and motivated Sr. Director of Program Management to help with driving roadmap execution and managing resource visibility allocation across different organizations.
We look for people who can effectively partner with Engineering, DevOps, Data Science, Product Management and business leaders to deliver effective, actionable, and highly transparent planning and resources allocation.
The position can be held in one of several offices (San Francisco, Dallas, Denver, Irvine). We are a close-knit team, focusing on challenging problems that make a difference to our business.
We concentrate on high-impact, high-value development, and in this role you’ll be lynchpin in giving the executive team clarity on where our resources are spending their valuable time while producing accurate timelines.
We are looking for someone who is versatile, methodical, excited by modern technology and enjoys focusing on organizational challenges.
What You Will Do
- Lead program management teams for multiple business areas to support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop actionable resource allocation models and projections aligning projects’ scopes with resource bandwidth.
- Develop and continually refine processes to ensure efficient execution.
- Identify cross-product dependencies and ensure that projects are managed and delivered to timelines.
- Develop, mentor, and scale the Program Management team.
- Develop deep partnerships with Engineering, Marketing, and Sales leaders to deliver against goals.
- Establish and manage metrics, assess risks and trigger mitigation plans.
- Develop executive presentations, analyses and reports as the need arises.
- Coordinate communication to organization on transformation initiatives.
- Support fact-based strategic decision making to meet company goals and objectives.
About You
- Deep knowledge of and existing work experience with structured software development lifecycles.
- 10+ years in enterprise program planning with extensive experience in resource allocation management.
- 5+ years in leading program management teams in a fast-pacing environment.
- Highly focused on building tight and accurate delivery plans.
- Ability to work with diverse team members, solve people problems and manage emergency events and customer issues.
- Effective communication skills in working with a variety of technical, business and executive personnel.
- High degree of emotional intelligence, empathy and level-headedness, fact-based approach to solving problems.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Work experience with project management tools.
- Software technical background is highly recommended.

For California-based employment : The minimum salary for this position is $196,000 / year. The maximum salary for this position $254,000 / year.
In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
For Colorado-based employment : The salary for this position is $196,000 / year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
