Summary :

Position supports the patient care mission of theInterventional Radiology Lab and supports staff flexibility goalsby working as part of a clinical team and through effectivecross-training.

The individual in this position is qualified toprovide high quality / acuity nursing care through appropriatemedication administration, medication and procedure documentation;

cross-train to perform hemodynamic monitoring and scrub assist.Performs assigned direct and indirect patient care in accordancewith departmental and organizational goals.

Operates all nursingrelated equipment, computers, and software related to directpatient care and documentation of care. Contributes to the generaloperation of the department by participating in managing / stockingsupplies, keeping the work area(s) orderly, engaging in patienttransportation, and post-procedure care as appropriate whilesupporting customer service initiatives.

Demonstrates knowledge ofthe principles of growth and development to perform procedures onand assist in the care of the adolescent, adult, and geriatricpatient.

A current Registered Nursing (RN) License will be requiredfor these individuals prior to employment.

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) isa 150-bed hospital serving the fastest growing area of San Antonio.

Specialized care includes orthopedic and surgical services, ICU,women’s services, a newborn nursery, comprehensive cardiovascularcare from diagnostics to open heart surgery, vascular lab, sleepcenter, emergency services, the CHRISTUS Weight Loss Institute,wound care, rehabilitation, and more.

The campus also boasts anOutpatient Imaging Center and three medical plazas, one of whichhouses our CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Programand CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Health Center.

Requirements :

• Education / Professional Qualifications : HighSchool Diploma required. Graduate of a diploma, associate (ADN), orbaccalaureate (BSN) academic program in nursing yielding aRegistered Nursing (RN) License asrequired
• Training / Skills : Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills and basic computer skillsrequired. Prior Interventional Radiology-based training andadvanced computer system skills preferred.
• Minimum of 1-year prior Acute Care hospital experience in intensivecare, emergency care, or cardiovascular care required (e.

g. CathLab, ICU, Cardiac IMC, ER); prior Interventional Radiologyexperience preferred

• Current StateNursing License (RN) required
• Current BLSrequired
• Current ACLSrequired
• PALS Certification Preferred (Requiredfor Pediatric setting)
• PEARS CertificationPreferred (Required for Pediatric setting)
