Sentara Norfolk General Hospital was named the Best Hospital for Cardiac Care in Virginia by Healthgrades.Cardiac Procedural / Surgical IMCU Overview : This 24-bed cardiac surgical / procedural IMCU provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include : bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs / replacements, thoracic surgery / lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers.

The unit also provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain.Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level.

• Oncology Care ONS / ONCC or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. Women's Care - Perinatal departments;

NRP within 6 months of hire. Inpatient Pediatrics. PALS within 6 months of hire. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
