Job Description

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a Division Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology.

This key physician leader is an integral part of the Pediatrics Department and leads all administrative, clinical, and educational activities for the division.

With the opening of the new Children's Hospital, the division chief will play an important role in maintaining the position of the division as market leader in the region and in planning the expansion of outreach services across the state.

The Division Chief's responsibilities include :

  • Leading the divisions clinical, research and educational services
  • Fostering the growth and expansion of Pediatric Endocrinology programs with the goal to develop an ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology
  • Supervision of Division staff including Physicians, Advanced Practice Professionals, and support staff

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications : MD / DO degree, and board certification / eligibility in Pediatrics is required.

Candidates will be evaluated on :

  • The ability to lead a diverse group in clinical, research and teaching programs
  • Work collaboratively with hospital and academic department partners
  • Ability to successfully mentor junior faculty
  • A commitment to excellence in patient care
  • Experience with Strategic Growth, Budgeting and Resource Management
  • Demonstrated success in leadership roles
