Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Operational Technology (OT) Unit Manager in the Energy Management Systems (EMS) Section, the Information Technology (IT) Specialist I's duties and activities are performed primarily within the System Engineering Domain, Business Technology Management Domain, and Information Security Engineering Domain.

The position is responsible for the technical operations and maintenance of critical Utility Power Systems physical and virtual server infrastructure technologies and data storage.

The incumbent provides hardware and software support, system analysis, technical training for end users, and deployment of operation technology solutions consistent with utility industry standards and best practices that align with the State Water Project (SWP) utility system needs and program objectives.

The incumbent must adhere to the Department's Information Technology policies and governance.

Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.
