Field Service EngineerIV (C4)

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll workin our state-of-the-art facility and at customer sites around theglobe, where you are the face of Applied Materials and an integralpart of a vibrant and diverse team.
Oursenior-level Field Service Engineers work independently, and helptrain junior colleagues, to create and support the technology thatthe world relies on to manufacture semiconductor chips and relatedmaterials.
You'll work beside global customers to install, maintainand upgrade their Applied Materials equipment, deliveringworld-class support for multimillion-dollar productionsystems.
You will :
- Install leading-edgecustomer equipment, perform scheduled preventative maintenance andcorrective maintenance, and upgrade equipment
- Use your troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, as well ascompany diagnostic tools and documentation, to solve complexequipment issues
- Generate, follow andpossibly approve documented procedures and published task plans
- Lead projects (when needed), documentprogress, and communicate with customer and internal business unitson progress
- Complete required jobdocumentation, safety training and procedures for processing parts
- Professionally represent Applied Materials tothe customer, using your "customer first" mindset
- Satisfy the company's and customer's on-siterequirements, including safety, environmental and COVID-19guidelines
- Train junior engineers onsite-related safety, troubleshooting procedures, and developing acustomer-first mindset
You'll need :
- An associate degree inelectronics or engineering technologies, or equivalent work experience, or completion of military technicaltraining and field experience
- Ability to readelectrical and mechanical schematics, and an advanced knowledge ofpneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum and / or thermodynamics
- Clear and effective written / verbalcommunications skills, with an emphasis on documenting details, andproficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, andPowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of hand toolsand proper usage, including a digital multimeter
- Advanced knowledge of wafer / Mask processingparameters
- Extensive knowledge of AppliedMaterials systems and company processes
- Project management skills, and an ability to lead key customer andinternal product meetings
Nice tohave :
7-10 years of workexperience in semiconductor industry or another equipment supportindustry
What toexpect :
- You'll work onrotation and in shifts so that customers have ongoing support
- Your job requires the ability to :
- lift at least 35 lbs.
- work in a clean room environment wearing coveralls, hood, booties,safety glasses, and gloves
- sit, stoop, kneel,crouch, twist, reach and stretch to reach equipment when needed,and stand for extended periods of time
- determine differences in colors
- You'll need a validdriver's license and passport

The salary offered to a selectedcandidate will be based on multiple factors including location,hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and withconsideration of internal equity of our current team members.
