Special Education Teacher - Dibble, OK

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Dibble, OK. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs.

Your primary responsibility will be to create and implement tailored educational plans that promote academic, social, and emotional growth for each student.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Assess students strengths and challenges to inform instructional strategies and interventions.
• Collaborate with other members of the educational team, including parents, therapists, and administrators, to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, social skills, and life skills, adapting teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and data collection, adjusting instructional plans as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, attendance, and behavior.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral challenges.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the success of every student.
