Job Overview
We are seeking a talented UX / UI Designer with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our team at The Knack Inc. As a UX / UI Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for our web and mobile applications.
This is a mid-level position based in Sterling, Virginia, United States. The employment type for this role can be Hybrid, Contract, Contract-To-Hire, or Full-Time, depending on the candidate's preference and suitability.
Qualifications and Skills
- 4 to 6 years of experience in UX / UI design.
- Proficiency in using Figma software for design prototyping and collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of web design principles and best practices.
- Ability to create wireframes, UI mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and user research methodologies.
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience in designing for both web and mobile platforms.
- Good understanding of front-end development technologies and their impact on design.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into user-centric design solutions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and UI mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Conduct user research and gather feedback to continuously improve the user experience.
- Design visually compelling and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Ensure the usability and accessibility of the applications by following industry best practices and guidelines.
- Work closely with developers to implement designs and provide guidance throughout the development process.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and style guides.
