Job Description

The Product Marketing Manager will develop and execute comprehensive and strategic marketing plans for specific programs to achieve business growth objectives by achieving revenue / cost goals and providing an exceptional experiential learning experience for thousands of young scholars from around the world.

Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, the position utilizes campaign management tools, creative collaboration, and marketing strategy within a team of peers to achieve defined marketing revenue and budget targets for programs within the K12 Individual Strategic Business Unit.

The ideal candidate will be passionate, energetic, analytical, both a planner and especially a doer, and always strives for excellence.

Success in this position will require leadership and creativity with a proven track record of data-driven decision making and the ability to influence others when needed, and a desire to execute marketing programs that drive revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategy for 5-10 active programs including defining product offerings / segmentation, channel distribution types, cost / revenue analysis and product development.
  • Budgeting responsibilities include determining initial marketing strategy, managing budget projections, meeting or exceeding revenue targets, and identifying growth opportunities
  • Present campaign, budget results and analysis for each program at KPI meetings. Curiously research and analyze marketing data and results.
  • Set program positioning strategy and work closely with the creative, product development and educational experience teams to ensure consistent messaging throughout all marketing channels.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive go-to-market plan working with all departments to execute; example is the initial marketing timeline and manage the execution of multi-channel offers.
  • Work with product management to evaluate existing and untapped consumer needs within the existing and potential product portfolio through a lens of growth.
  • Brainstorm program offerings and segmentation test strategies for both direct marketing and digital efforts.
  • Support sales team with lead generation through webinars, live events, and creation of sales collateral.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Required BA / BS in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in Product Marketing / Driving Leads / Acquisitions within allowable spend
  • Experience with project management of marketing campaigns working with internal teams and external partners from planning to full execution of direct mail, digital, email, ecommerce, web pages and microsites
  • Experience developing product positioning and omni-channel messaging
  • Marketing Multi-Channel experience (direct mail, email, nurture, print, SEM, display ads, ecommerce, etc)
  • Understanding of campaign management software and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical capacity with experience presenting and communicating findings to a variety of stakeholders, including the executive team
  • Goal oriented, proven data-driven decision maker, self-motivated, creative, flexible and adaptable to new situations
  • Demonstrated strong ability to balance strategy with day-to-day execution and implementation

A must :

  • Experience managing aggressive marketing schedules
  • Written and verbal project management communication skills
  • Database and relationship marketing, business acumen and budgeting experience
  • Working knowledge of ESP Platforms and audience journeys : SFMC, HubSpot, Marketo, MailChimp, etc.
  • Experience with Suite of MS Office products including Power Point, Excel, Word
