Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team and make a significant impact in the lives of students with special needs.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the educational experience of K-12 students with diverse learning needs.
This position requires an Adaptive Certification and a passion for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other specialists to provide comprehensive support for students.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to engage students in learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and self-confidence.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Georgia teaching certificate in Special Education with Adaptive Certification.
- Experience working with K-12 students with special needs.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
