A Mental Health Specialist II will work in highly specialized programs serving individuals with intensive, interfering behavioral and mental health needs.
The persons receiving these services have many of the following characteristics : previously placed in a highly restricted facility, high incidents of crisis situations, high behaviors or anti-social issues, multiple hospitalizations / commitments / institutional stays, and multiple failed placements.
Dungarvin group homes have been significantly modified to eliminate safety concerns. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
What You Get to Do :
Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more.
Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
Document progress, milestones, and action steps.
