Seco Precision enjoys a worldwide reputation for being on the cutting edge of designing and manufacturing tools and accessories for surveying, construction, utilities and other industries that use GPS / GNSS technology.

Our manufacturing plants in Redding, CA and Tecate, Mexico have over 170 staff machining, anodizing, electrostatic powder-painting, silk-screening, and assembling quality products that ship worldwide.

Position Overview

Seeking a process-oriented Product Manager, experienced in best practices and establishing systems and processes. This role will manage the lifecycle and portfolio of current and new market solutions, understanding user needs to develop offerings with compelling value propositions that can be taken to effective launch plans.

This critical position works cross functionally to develop, manage and align with other stakeholders the product lifecycle, including regional pricing, trade-terms, positioning, and go-to-market strategy to drive growth and share of the Seco portfolio of products.

This role will establish a voice of the dealer, customer and end-user strategy and implementation plan to work with end users, sales, support, and channel partners to understand and prioritize unmet customer needs and ways to maximize the value Seco delivers to the market.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Stay centered on a clear definition of our customers and their needs and use this to guide product and market decisions.
  • Maximize the success of each product by defining and driving market strategies that deliver the highest possible revenue / profitability.
  • Lead market analyses such as competitive product positioning; market sizing; market saturation; competitor strategies; sources of differentiation;

distribution channel structure; market segmentation, etc.

  • Define product requirements, features and success criteria; market impacts and the go-to-market strategy and plan.
  • Update and maintain pricelist to ensure accuracy and alignment with market trends
  • Apply project management skills to coordinate product development and launches.
  • Utilize experience in analyzing, understanding, and communicating buyer behavior to tailor product strategies effectively.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on current and future product portfolios.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure product and market decisions align with the company's strategic and operational goals and that stakeholder needs are prioritized appropriately.
  • Engage in portfolio management, evaluating and optimizing the performance of existing product lines.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent education and experience required.

5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing or project marketing.

Experience using CRM for reports and dashboards

Demonstrated success in bringing new products to market

Ability to travel 10-25% both domestically and internationally

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Located in northern California or Pacific time zone

Experience in surveying industry is preferred.
