Description
The Software Engineer reports to the Manager of Media Systems Engineering and works across teams to help define, develop, and manage media supply chains, processes, and applications across the Enterprise.
The Broadcast & Content Services, Media Engineering team is looking for someone to develop software for the media workflows.
Specific Job Duties Include :
- Design and develop systems, working collaboratively with other members of the team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise in the systems owned by the team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to the media supply chain.
- Perform research and development on future technologies.
- Contribute proactively to design and architecture discussions with the team.
- Partner with leadership to influence priorities and objectives.
- Work with DevOps and Release Management in support of app deployments.
Basic Qualifications :
- Experience in software engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining highly scalable micro-services and secure APIs.
- Professional working experience with Node.JS, Python, and Vue.JS programming languages.
- Writes clean, modular code and is experienced with OOP and design patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, MACOSX, and Windows.
- Basic knowledge of media and broadcast.
- Familiarity with CI / CD pipeline.
- Good knowledge of Java, SQL RDB, NO-SQL, XSLT, XML.
- Basic knowledge of IPV4, IPV6 and IP sub-netting.
- Basic understanding of virtual machine clusters and hardware.
Preferred Qualifications : Experience with Amazon Web Services.
Required Education : BA / BS degree.
