Our busy home health agency is rapidly growing and we’re seeking an experienced home health aide to assist us in providing superior in-home health care to our clients.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent organization and communication skills, and 1-3 years of experience working as an HHA or caregiver.

You’ll assist our patients with companionship, basic medical care, light housekeeping duties, personal care, and hygiene tasks so that they are empowered to live happily at home.

You must be authorized to work in the United States and live within commuting distance of West Orange, NJ to be considered for this position.

Compensation : $23 - $25 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Execute basic medical tasks such as replacing bandages and dressings, taking vital signs, measuring glucose and ketone levels, and ensuring the proper use of medical devices
• Take care of light housekeeping tasks including but not limited to vacuuming, bed making, laundry, etc.
• Drive patients as needed, for grocery shopping, running errands, or doctors’ visits, when necessary
• Provide personal care tasks such as calling doctors’ offices, scheduling appointments, and coordinating Medicare and other insurance details
• Oversee medication tasks such as opening bottles, organizing self-administered dosing and arranging refills; and assist with meal preparation and planning

Qualifications :

• Possess a valid state driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Conclusion of home health aide training programs from community colleges are acceptable - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a bonus
• Must have 1-3 years of experience as a personal caregiver, HHA / home health aide, nursing assistant, or personal care aid for a home health agency at patient homes or care facilities setting
• Empathetic, compassionate, and kind personality with excellent organization and communication skills are desired
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, you may be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed
• You must be authorized to work in the United States and live within commuting distance of West Orange, NJ to be considered for this position.
