Job Title : Project Scheduler

Location :
- Local to Houston - downtown Houston, TX
- Hybrid Model - Remote Monday and Friday, Onsite Tues-Thurs
Reason for Need : B uilding out a Program Management Office for their Houston Electric Organization to handle the Capital Projects for the next 8 years
Must Have Skills :
- Bachelors Degree (ideally in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, Business Administration or other related field) or relevant experience
- Experience with one or more of the following Project Management software's :
- Microsoft Dynamics (preferred) and / or Primavera P6
- Ability to update and track schedules within the chosen software and manipulate financial data pulled from SAP into Excel by utilizing Pivot tables and VLOOKUP features
- Create schedules and push schedule data
- Identify variances
- Excel proficiency
- Understanding of VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- Ability to manipulate the data within Excel
- 3+ years of related experience including planning and scheduling
- Ideally in a utility, communication or construction setting
- Sequence of work activities
- Lead and lagging days
- Analyze schedule, baseline schedule variance and commentary

- Someone who gets along well with all types of people and can help the team succeed
- Looking for someone who is flexible - this PMO is being built from the ground up and they are still figuring out processes, tools and procedures.
Looking for someone who is not rigid, and who can adapt to change
Nice to Have Skills :
SAP experience - any knowledge of SAP would be helpful, as this is their hub for work order management and financials
Education / Certification Requirements :
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management, Construction Management, Operation Management, Supply Chain Management, or applicable required
Day to Day Responsibilities :
- Weekly schedule updates in company-identified tools and systems
- Work alongside project managers to ensure the schedule is accurate and up to date
- Attend weekly schedule update meetings
- Take adequate meeting notes and come prepared to present schedule updates
- Work with the scheduling team to track other schedules
- Ensure all projects are on time in accordance with the schedule
- Building and maintaining multiple schedules at a time
- Creating project schedules aligned to the size and expectations of large capital budget programs
- Any technology built or used will be expected to communicate with in-place CEHE systems. These systems include but are not limited to the following : SAP, Microsoft Products, and the AIS tool
