Overall Purpose :
Responsible for all aspects of the analysis and evaluation of complex internal business problems and the development of solutions.
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
- Retrieve and analyze data evaluating and comparing information to identify for management and or customers solutions to operational and business objectives.
- Accountable for all timelines and project plans from data gathering through implementation.
- Collect information such as financial or operational data from numerous sources in various formats and translate it into a standard format in order to identify trends or improve cost.
- Apply quantitative finance and accounting principles in clean sheet models to accurately understand true vendor pricing for services and products rendered to AT&T.
- Design and / or create reports / summaries, reporting tools, and database requirements to help operational effectiveness and decision making.
- Construct and apply statistical and / or financial models and / or analysis to support strategic initiatives.
- Apply advanced economic principles to qualitative business problems as part of advanced clean sheet methodology and analysis, including but not limited to quantitatively modeling economies or diseconomies of scale and understanding implications of information asymmetries.
- Analyze production, implementation and / or manufacturing expenses / process to determine most cost effective solutions.
- Identify root cause cost drivers for the current state and develop sourcing recommendations to achieve savings.
- Analyze internal or supplier information to ensure data is correctly defined in order to ensure accuracy of analysis.
- Provide recommendations for improvement and written documentation that relates to the analysis of the data.
- Lead efforts based on analysis output to drive savings. Work with contract and sourcing managers to model various solutions to national procurement processes by applying advanced negotiating principles to understand incentives produced by potential procurement strategies.
- In order to support the operational success of the business, this role develops metrics, tools and process for large complex projects or large customers.
- Assignments are very complex, cross functional and require seasoned analytical skills with high level of proficiency.
Education :
Bachelors degree required in business related field; preferred in Finance, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Supply Chain
Skills :
- Required - Strong comfort level of experience with modeling and analytics in Excel
- Required - Strong level of experience with creating presentations in PowerPoint
Experience :
Typically 3-8 years of related experience. Advanced data modeling experience and effective communication skills.

Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education / training.
