TRAX USA Corp, a leading aviation software company, is seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the Sales and Marketing organization.
This role will be pivotal in aligning sales and marketing strategies with the company's business objectives. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in driving sales growth and increasing brand visibility.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Business Development, the Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for leading and executing the growth and sales of our software solutions and service offerings within the aviation industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
- Build and manage the sales pipeline / forecast, including responding to RFIs and RFPs, and managing campaigns to deploy new products and services at existing customers.
- Lead and manage the sales and marketing teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to maximize performance and productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between sales, marketing, software development, customer success, and finance.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for expansion and growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Oversee the development of marketing materials, advertising campaigns, and promotional activities.
- Monitor and analyze sales and marketing metrics to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform strategic decision-making.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the sales and marketing teams, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Pragmatic and resourceful, with the ability to adapt quickly to different requests, questions, and personalities during lead development.
Requirements :
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience, preferably in sales and implementation of technology solutions to commercial airlines, MROs, government and defense operators, and aircraft manufacturing.
- Working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the aviation industry strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
Other Job Requirements :
- Ability to travel for business up to 75% required.
- Ability to travel internationally without travel restrictions required.
- Currently holds or can obtain security clearance.
- FAA or ITAR Compliance preferred.
