Title : Logistics / Supply Chain Analyst

Reports To : Manager Logistics / Customer Service

Summary : Responsible for all aspects of service to customers including delivery quotations to customers and sales representatives;

acceptance and maintenance of customer orders using an on-line computer system. Primary liaison for customer accounts with regard to delivery schedules / shipment dates and resolving related problems.

Effectively control inventory levels within assigned sales team. Schedule deliveries from respective factories to desired delivery point to meet customer commitments and minimize delivery costs.

Insure efficient order processing of information concerning factory orders using all media (e-mail, internet, data entry, fax, phone, etc.

Provide information concerning factory orders and inventory status. Processing of Quality Notifications in SAP system.

Responsibilities :

• Review daily activity information (customer backlog, inventory status, customer forecasts, etc.) to determine proper course of action (order expedite, cancellation, reschedule).
• Insure correct ordering of product, correct price, and delivery dates for factory orders.
• Implement procedural changes as developed with / by Management and insure compliance.
• Problem resolution with marketing and factory as required to meet customer commitments.
• Analysis of obsolete and / or slow moving inventories.
• Coordinates direct shipments from factory and / or divert shipments from airport operations to customer as required.
• Administration of customer returns to include : credit to customer, disposition of product, and return of product to respective factory.
• Respond to daily phone inquiries from OEM customers, distributors, and sales reps for pricing, delivery, etc. through the use of on-line computer systems.
• Interface with marketing for special or high volume pricing, technical assistance, or special customer problems such as quality issues, etc.
• Determine viability and provide authorization, if warranted, of customer material returns.
• Process customer orders on the computer, expedite purchase orders, resolve problems for customers, distributors and sales reps.
• Coordinate with local warehouse / factory planners to ensure prompt factory delivery.
• Communicate with Credit Department when establishing new accounts or resolving credit issues with existing accounts.
• Responsible for the maintenance of minimum inventory levels and invoicing of material usage for customers with whom we have consignment agreements.
• Responsible for checking customer portals.
• Review daily / weekly / monthly reports needed to ensure proper inventory, customer orders, customer satisfaction, etc.
• Provide technical assistance to customers such as parts identification; cross reference competitor to TDK substitutions, etc.

Education :

Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience)

Supply Chain related degree a plus

Experience / Requirements :

• Strong Supply Chain / Customer Service background and / or experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• 2+ years related experience
• Ability to work independently, yet as a team member
• SAP knowledge a plus

Physical Demands / Work Environment :

• This position requires the use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop, and cell phone. Most work is completed in an office environment.
