About The Position
- Job Title : Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Specialty : Long Term Care (LTC) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8-hour days Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2 years of SLP experience preferred;
- LTC or Rehab experience preferred License : Valid, unrestricted license in speech and language pathology in the state of Missouri Certifications : CPR required;
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) certified SLP required Must-Have : Valid driver's license in the state of employment;
Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care Job Description : - Develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations.
- Create communication treatment plans that enhance individuals' abilities to understand and be understood by others.- Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech-language pathology and audiology services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and facility policies.
- Provide appropriate care and services to residents in a long-term care setting.
