Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with extensive experience in early-stage drug discovery and development, particularly in small-molecule drug programs.

The ideal candidate will hold either a Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., biology, chemistry) or have over 5 years of project management experience in the drug industry.

A minimum of 2 years of experience managing early-stage drug discovery projects is essential. The role involves overseeing both internal and external programs, managing global relationships with CROs, and collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities :

  • Create and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring they align with contracted project scopes.
  • Direct and define project and study management activities for team members, ensuring project / program milestones are met.
  • Assist in the implementation of new studies.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of new projects.
  • Track and report on project progress, including timelines, deliverables, and resource usage.
  • Communicate with collaborators and CROs on data management, inventory control, shipping procedures, and other project-related tasks.
  • Respond to project-related events and issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and organize data collection and reporting.
  • Provide support to senior staff as required.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues in collaboration with team members.
  • Positively influence the completion of milestones and deadlines across multiple projects, geographies, and timelines.

Qualifications : Education :

Education :

  • Ph.D. in biology, chemistry, or a related life science field; or 5+ years of project management experience in the drug discovery / development industry.
  • Required : 2+ years of hands-on experience managing early-stage drug discovery programs, with a focus on small molecule drug development.

Skill and Expertise :

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office / MS 365 applications.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with team members from diverse technical and business backgrounds, including R&D, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Executive Management, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills, with high emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Strong understanding of project management and data analysis principles.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional research and reporting skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending the English language.
  • Proven track record as a collaborative team player with proactive and productive engagement.

Preferred :

  • Experience working with global CROs and external research collaborations.
