Job Details
- Specialty : 4 Pavilion - Telemetry / Med
- Telemetry and medical-surgical nursing on a 32-bed unit.
- Patients consist of adult and geriatric individuals with cardiopulmonary diagnoses.
- Provides critical drip management and chemo (preferred, but not required).
- Nurses are responsible for reviewing telemetry strips each shift.
Job Requirements
- Required to have BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, managing critical drips required.
- Able to titrate drips as necessary.
- Charge nurse role possible with modified patient assignment.
Schedule Information
- Day shift : 6 : 45 am - 7 : 15 pm.
- Night shift : 6 : 45 pm to 7 : 15 am.
- Block scheduling is allowed; requests considered.
- Every other weekend required.
- Rotating holiday schedule to not repeat previous year.
Unit Specific Information
Beds in the unit : 32
- Nurse to Patient Ratios : 1 : 06 during the day, 1 : 10 or 1 : 15 during the night.
- Monitor techs available 24 / 7.
- Charge nurse present with modified patient assignment.
- Possibility of being tasked with the Charge Nurse role.
- Nurse aids ratios : 1 : 10 (day), 1 : 15 (night).
- Types of equipment : IV pumps, sequential compression devices, pulse oximeters, specialty beds, telemetry, CPAP, BiPAP, Oxygen.

- RN / LPN dress code - Navy scrubs.
- C.N.As / Monitor Techs - Dark Grey / Pewter.
- Closed-toed shoes required; no Crocs.
- WVU Medicine or solid color fleece zip-ups permitted in grey, black, navy or royal blue.
