Reporting to the Supervisor, Product Management, the Senior Product Manager will manage technology products for San Francisco City Option, Healthy San Francisco, and Enrollment Services, Coverage Programs aiming to provide universal health care in San Francisco.
The experienced Senior Product Manager will help improve healthcare access and coverage in San Francisco by understanding internal and external stakeholders, overseeing the entire product lifecycle for internal applications and data interchanges, managing technical vendors, and recommending solutions to support Program staff and participants.
Please note that SFHP supports a hybrid work environment. As such, this position will be required to be onsite and in the office a minimum of 4 days per month.
Salary range : $126,000 - $140,000 / year
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage beginning-to-end product development for initiatives and projects impacting multiple stakeholders and release sprints.
- Work with Coverage Programs stakeholders to understand Program priorities and independently apply Program rules and policies to inform product decisions and develop product roadmap.
- Connect Coverage Programs goals and values to product decisions, ensuring stakeholders understand trade-offs, technical limitations, and reasoning behind product strategy.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather and write detailed product requirements.
- Manage backlog and collaborate with Product Management and Engineering Teams to deploy product initiatives.
- Lead user research with Program staff and participants to deeply understand user needs and opportunities.
- Manage assessment and resolution of production issues; independently provide root cause analysis and communicate status reports.
- Create and track success metrics for product initiatives.
- Maintain product documentation, create detailed logic flow diagrams.
- Manage vendor relationships by effectively communicating required changes or bugs to vendor teams and independently facilitate resolution, escalating to leadership when appropriate.
- Conduct market research and make build or buy recommendations for new technology products.
- Develop and improve processes for product delivery.
- Optimize data exchanges to drive data and reporting efficiencies.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- At least five years of experience as a Senior Product Manager of software products in Finance or the Public Sector.
- Demonstrated experience writing clear and detailed product requirements.
- Demonstrated UI / UX proficiency, experience with information architecture, logic flow diagrams, user research methods, and data analysis.
- Basic design skills and comfort communicating new features through sketches, wireframes, and mock-ups.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools.
- Experience creating and building buy-in for release plans and product roadmaps.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication; ability to break complex topics down for different audiences.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and clearly present detailed information, analysis and findings to internal and external audiences.
