Position

Title : QA Engineer

Location : Hybrid from Durham, NC

We’re building next generation microservices based infrastructure and network monitoring, visibility, and troubleshooting applications that are designed to scale.

We’re focused on delivering exceptional experiences for our users and making complex problems look simple. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer who is driven to improve our software quality.

Above all else we’re looking for proactive engineers who are driven to bring new ideas and solutions to our products.

What you will do

  • Work within an agile team to test enterprise applications that deliver value to our customers.
  • Work with and learn from a highly experienced team of senior engineers.
  • Perform software vulnerability scan, analyze results, build and test monthly security patch releases.
  • Design, develop and execute regression, functional, performance, and end-to-end testing.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts.

What makes you an ideal candidate

  • A BS degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with installing, configuring, administering, patching Linux operating system such as Ubuntu.
  • Basic understanding of software vulnerability management process and security hardening
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
  • Experience with designing, developing, and executing functional, performance, and end-to-end testing of Web application.
  • Experience with Web application automation, in both UI and backend, by using tools such as Selenium.
  • Understanding of continuous integration process, software test and configuration management tools such as Jenkins, Jira, and GIT
  • Bonus points for hands-on experience with software vulnerability scan, vulnerability assessment, and security hardening
