About the team + role
Robinhood has an expansive experimentation platform, Kaizen, and SerVars, our Dynamic Configuration platform. We are looking for a Software Engineer to help us grow from our current walk stage of the offerings to aspirational leap / fly stages.

Using these services, Robinhood is able to run significant experiments to identify new and novel ways to continue to democratize finance! These services are widely used across the company and reach up to 300K TPS! We build the service in modern Python, Go, React and work very closely with multi-functional partners to ship features daily.

What you’ll do
- Build and own core features of some of Robinhood's most heavily trafficked services!
- Craft large scale systems within a team, making the right tradeoffs for risk and long-term maintainability
- Work with multi-functional teams to understand their needs and build systems that help us reach company wide goals to improve bottom line metrics such as revenue, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Be a champion for engineering excellence, improve operational efficiency of the team and drive these initiatives across the organization
What you bring
- 5+ years experience and are a proven senior engineer with experience planning and leading large projects with long-term impact on a single system or team.
- A big bonus : consistent track record of working closely with data scientists, understanding their needs, and translating sophisticated data science models into production-level code.
You can effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners and collaborate across teams to achieve shared objectives.
Solid understanding of the scientific principles behind experimentation, including but not limited to A / B testing, hypothesis testing, and statistical analysis.
You are adept at implementing and interpreting experiments designed by data scientists to guide product development and decision-making processes.
- Experience working with Bazel, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, Airflow and Presto.
- Passion for mentoring junior engineers and improving the engineering craftsmanship, while also providing guidance and mentorship to senior engineers to foster continuous growth and excellence in the team.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands.
The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones.
This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
