CNC Machinist
Pay : $25-$30 / hour
Location : Walker,MI
Pay : 2nd shift 4pm-2 : 30am (shift will be moving to 4 / 10's once this role is filled)
Job Description-
Serves the military / defense industry. We are a one-stop shop for fabrication, CNC and assemblies. Our team is comprised of innovative, technically advanced problem-solvers who love to win! We recently more than doubled our manufacturing space and are installing new, additional equipment to meet our customer demand! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Strongly prefer knowledge of Heidenhain Controller (not a deal breaker)
- Oversee the setup and operation of a Ken Ichi 5-axis gantry mill machining center
- Completes Laser Access and customer paperwork when required
- Follows safety requirements and maintains certifications
- Keeps CNC area clean as required and may perform maintenance tasks as needed
- Other duties may be assigned

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Personal measuring tools required
EXPERIENCE :
- High School diploma or GED
- 4+ Years Machining experience in operating CNC vertical and horizontal mills
- Experience working with castings a plus
- Experience running 5-Axis machines a must
- Lathe experience a plus
- Haas control experience a plus
- Ability to set up tools for jobs and handle machine coding
- Proficient computer and math skills (basic math, algebra, geometry and blue print reading)
- Microsoft Office Suite, ERP and experience with CAD a plus
- Able to work with and give feedback to department supervisors to resolve issues on the shop floor
