We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in Palo Alto, California, for a Fund Accountant. This role is situated within the fast-paced Financial Services industry and will require an individual with a strong background in Fund Accounting and Private Equity.
The successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities :
- Accurately process capital calls and book deals in line with company procedures
- Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions
- Ensure all customer inquiries are resolved in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as needed
- Utilize a strong understanding of Private Equity Fund and Venture Capital in daily tasks
- Adhere to financial regulations and company policies at all times
- Collaborate with team members to achieve financial objectives
- Continually update skills and industry knowledge to ensure effectiveness in role
- Provide detailed financial reports to management as required
- Assist with other financial duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry
- Proficiency in Fund Accounting is required
- Experience with Private Equity and Private Equity Funds is essential
- Knowledge and understanding of Venture Capital is necessary
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in using financial software and databases
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and professional ethics
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments
- Certification such as CPA, CFA, or similar is advantageous.
