Salary : Purpose
Purpose
The Milling Driver / Operator is responsible for safely driving a single axle dump truck with a trailer and moving / operating milling equipment.
This position will also assist with laborer duties on job sites and requires a Class A Certified Driver's License (CDL).
Job Responsibilities
- Drive a single axle dump truck with a trailer.
- Operate milling machinery and other job site preparation equipment.
- May operate a variety of equipment dependent upon skill set.
- Performs a variety of tasks associated with paving operations including job site labor duties.
- Participates in cross training activities.
- Operates all equipment and tools according to safety procedures and performs all manual labor activities in a safe manner.
Education / Experience
- 2+ years experience working on a paving crew.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Additional education a plus.
Skills and Specifications
- Class A Certified Drivers License.
- Thorough understanding of various aspects of the paving industry and all types of paving equipment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working in a team environment.
- Ability to bend, crouch, and stand for long periods of time.
