Detailed Job Description :

Responsible for product improvement initiatives of mechanical and hydraulic components primarily used in aircraft brake control systems, as well as seat actuation system components.

Identifies product and / or process improvements, provides justification, and implements approved improvements. Provides technical assistance to all internal departments, suppliers, and customers as it relates to manufacturing, assembly, and test of mechanical products.

Prepare documents required to define products, or changes thereof, and show verification of analysis.

Job Requirements :

Able to apply theories of modern production principles and methods as applied to a high technology design and manufacturing operation;

Knowledge of material characteristics and processing, chemicals, basic concepts of : electrical systems, mechanical systems, fluids, and heat transfer.

  • Participate in design reviews of new or changed product
  • Able to develop manufacturing operation instructions
  • Develop fixtures and tooling to support production.
  • Able to evaluate non-conformances as part of the Material Review Board
  • Able to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Prefer SAP and Solumina experience
  • Prefer familiar with Solidworks
  • Proficient in office productivity tools.
  • Must be capable of working in a manufacturing environment with loud noises, hot / cold temperature, dust, and / or fumes.

Able to stand up to 100% of the time. Able to lift up to 25 pounds, push up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to work flexible work schedule to support production.
