MDS Nurse - RN - Registered Nurse

We are seeking to hire an MDS Nurse - RN - Registered Nurse.
MDS Nurse - RN - Registered Nurse Qualifications :
- MA RN - Registered Nurse License.
- AANAC certification or the ability to obtain AANAC certification within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 1 years' experience in nursing supervision or nursing management in Long-Term Care.
- Knowledge of PDPM and OBRA required.
- 3 years' experience as an MDS nurse preferred.
MDS Nurse - RN - Registered Nurse Job Summary :
- Under direction of MDS Coordinator, oversee all aspects of the Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care Programs.
- Direct financial reporting staff.
- Oversee the resident assessment team for completion of payments.
- Periodic written and oral reports / recommendations to the MDS Coordinator, CEO and Administrator.
- Assist the QAA committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action.
- Participate with the MDS Coordinator and Administrator to develop the Reimbursement Department Budget.
- Monitor Point Click Care "Care Management" areas to ensure accuracy and completeness of resident assessments.
- Monitor ABILITY programs dashboards (InfectionWATCH, RiskWATCH & CareWATCH).
- Review CASPER Reports for accuracy and investigate and report all discrepancies.
- Ensure the baseline plan of care for each resident is developed within 48 hours of admission.
- Stay informed on Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) updates and Medicare and Medicaid changes.
