This position is eligible to work from home anywhere in the United States
Under close supervision, provides support to the Claims team by entering information into claims system (CLMS) and / or Guidewire, such as medical records, bills, and various correspondences related to claims.
Separates and indexes legal documents following established procedures and escalates to supervisor. Handles incoming and outgoing mail.
Answers general telephone inquiries from customers, providers, and vendors.
Essential Functions :
Receives incoming mail from assigned area
Sorts, batches, and scans mail into claim file to be indexed
Handles routine outgoing mail, such as various forms, releases and templates prepared by adjusters to be sent overnight and / or certified.
Seeks assistance from other team members on which forms to include with claims documents
Monitors and reviews incoming claims faxes and emails. Indexes new documents into appropriate claim file
Renames and categorizes emails and seeks guidance from supervisor regarding handling of unidentifiable correspondence
Separates and indexes legal documents following established procedures and escalates to supervisor
Answers general telephone inquiries from claimants, insureds, agents, and vendors
Obtains claim information from caller to identify and direct calls to assigned adjuster
Calls providers and vendors to request medical records, accident and theft reports as requested by claims adjuster
Education & Experience :
High school diploma or equivalency
Experience with mail and filing preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Knowledge of insurance and claims terminology preferred
Good computer skills
Accurate data entry skills
Ability to file alpha and numeric information
Excellent communication and human relations skills
Strong organizational and excellent customer service skills
Per the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hiring range for this position for Colorado-based team members is $18.
00 - $22.20. The hiring range for other locations may vary.
