Your Impact at SAM The Business Development Director role is mainly responsible for leading and growing a high performing Business Development team who are tasked with building and cultivating relationships, as well as generating business with new and existing clients.

This role also serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in their designated market. Work with Office Manager and Regional Operations Director to create and execute sales plans Develop performance plans for Business Development Managers Lead the organization’s business development activities in order to achieve annual new business revenue and growth goals Deliver regular reports on the status of the Business Development pipeline and marketing / outreach activities Grow SAM’s Business Development pipeline by cultivating new leads and relationships with potential clients Provide executive level consultation to clients on all aspects of their brand development needs and the services Engage in proposal contributions from SME staff members (including creative needs) Develop proposal approach / strategy based on the requirements outlined within an RFP Work alongside other senior leadership to develop pitch strategy and pitch team Assist with client meetings by conducting background research, developing a strategy / approach and determining profit margins Serve as a lead representative of SMEs at industry events and conferences Formulate Business Development forecasts Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish the company’s strategic goals What You Bring to SAM Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, or equivalent education and experience 5+ years of experience in similar industry sales success Experience with Salesforce is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Capable of working both individually and as a part of a very dynamic team of professionals.
