SHIFT : Rotating (United States of America)A Brief OverviewThe Cardiac Preparation and Recovery Unit (CPRU) is a 23 hours unit dedicated to the peri-anesthesia care of infant through adult cardiac patients who are undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Operative and Imaging Complex, which consists of 2 Cardiac OR's, 4 Cardiac Catheterizations Labs, and a Hybrid Room.
The unit houses patients overnight who require observation. Additionally, the unit has a dedicated Procedure Room that provides the ability for patients to have minor procedures with anesthesia outside of the OR.
Nurses in the CPRU are trained in peri-anesthesia and cardiac care. This position is a mix of 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts with varying start times and rotating shifts.

- Develop, evaluate, and revise patients' plans of care throughout their hospitalization.* Gather and analyze data to inform the care team and delegate tasks.
- Promote excellent patient outcomes by adhering to evidence-based practices, nursing standards, and safety procedures.* Identify and address safety concerns or ethical dilemmas with unit leadership.
- Develop effective partnerships with the interdisciplinary care team.* Adopt healthcare technology and clinical practice changes in a fast-paced environment.
