Job Summary
Under general direction from the Office Manager and Owner, the Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, reconciliations, support clerical roles, and completes projects as assigned.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage accounting transactions.
- Accounts Payable / Receivable
- Prepare financial reports
- Account reconciliations
- Month end reporting
- Complete accounting projects as assigned
- Balancing and auditing
- Entering payroll into ADP
Education
Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience in related field.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Accounting Field.
Skills & Abilities
This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
Specific skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following :
- Knowledge of Accounting principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Create and maintain spreadsheets
- Proficient in MS Office
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct accounting software is preferred.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain Confidentiality.
