You are comfortable working in a team.

In this role, you will work with a dedicated team of attorneys, paralegals, assistants, and client care professionals. You must be comfortable being the director of your cases and ensure that our clients are receiving the benefit of the talents of each of our team members.

$95,000 - $150,000 yearly DOE + comprehensive benefits package

Key responsibilities as an attorney with Z Family Law are to :

• Represent. You will provide knowledgeable legal counsel and advocacy in all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, support, and property division.
• Litigate. You will handle all phases of family law litigation, from pleadings and discovery to settlement negotiations, trials, and post-judgment matters.
• Advocate. You will present persuasive arguments in court during trials, hearings, and settlement discussions.
• Negotiate. You will lead negotiations and mediation on behalf of clients.
• Strategize. You will develop, implement, and oversee case strategies tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.
• Collaborate. You will work closely with colleagues, paralegals, legal assistants, and other administrative staff.
• Connect. You will build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients.
• Grow. You will participate in the firm’s business development efforts.
• Deliver. You will meet a billable hour requirement of 1,560 hours annually.
• Manage. You will oversee family law cases within the firm's established policies and procedures.
• Learn. You will stay updated on family law statutes and precedents.
• Own. You will take full ownership of developing case strategies, including preparing and drafting legal documents.

As a Senior Attorney at Z Family Law, you will play a key role in providing exceptional legal services to our clients. You will manage a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, domestic violence, and property division.

You will handle cases from start to finish, including developing case strategies, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court.

Regular client communication will be essential.

Qualifications

You’re the perfect fit for Z Family Law if you are :

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland. The ideal candidate will also be licensed in DC and / or the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Experienced. You’ve been helping families for at least 3-5 years in Maryland and / or DC family law.
• Efficient in managing multiple cases and prioritizing competing tasks.
• Skilled in litigating and negotiating with proven courtroom experience.
• Collaborative. You can work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff.
• Independent. You can deal with a busy CEO.
• Skilled Communicator. You excel in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
• Tech-savvy. You must be comfortable with technology.
• Organized and Efficient. You have exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Client-Focused and Compassionate. You approach every case with empathy.
• Bilingual. Spanish-speaking is a plus.

Compensation : $95,000 - $150,000 yearly DOE
