The Truck Driver is responsible for driving straight truck efficiently and safely. Responsible for safe, secure transport of materials to and from various sites;
Ensures safe loading / unloading as assigned; Meets internal and external customer needs in a professional manner.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL :
Responsible for driving straight truck efficiently and safely. Responsible for safe, secure transport of materials to and from various sites;
Ensures safe loading / unloading as assigned; Meets internal and external customer needs in a professional manner.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES :
1. Drive responsibly and safely, following assigned schedules and routes, loading / unloading material as requested.
2. Adheres to all DOT, traffic and safety regulations while performing duties.
3. Maintain professional demeanor and provide courteous customer service to internal and external customers and other contacts.
4. Demonstrates a commitment to Goodwill's mission, vision and values.
5. Prior to operation, complete and submit a daily vehicle condition report and immediately notify supervisor of repair or maintenance needs.
6. Complete other reports / forms as requested in a timely, complete and accurate manner.
7. Maintain vehicle interior in clean and orderly fashion and provide for exterior cleaning as assigned.
8. Wear assigned uniform and / or Goodwill identification while on duty.
9. Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
10. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS :
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 months prior truck driving experience.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicle when needed.
- Ability to operate truck, van, pallet jack, freight elevator, truck lift, dock plates as needed.
- Minimum required - valid Class B Commercial Driver's license.
- Valid DOT Medical card, as required.
- Driving record acceptable to insurance carrier.
- Additional experience in the trucking industry preferred
- This role requires medical and facility requirements, including but not limited to proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

4. Capable of meeting physical demand required for commercial driver's license.
