Purpose :
Repair cars and light trucks, work in a friendly family atomosphere, enjoy the latest in state of the art equipment, during the summer heat work in an air conditioned facility .
we utilize xtime scheduler and inspection forms and iService video for all customers every time and our service advisors are top notch and keep the shop full of work.

Salary Range :
$15-$30 / hr based on training and experience
Education :
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- ASE Certification
- B Level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
- 2+ years of Service Technician experience
- Valid driver's license
Knowledge :
Mechanical - Knowledge of machines, tools, automobiles and related systems, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Customer Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words.
Job Tasks
- Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
- Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices.
- Mandatory GM training to stay up to date on all the latest makes and model repairs
- Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes.
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors and Service Advisors.
- Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas.
- Plan work procedures, using charts, technical manuals, and experience.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications.
- Communicate with the Service Advisor to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services.
- Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Overhaul or replace carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters, and pumps.
- Repair and service air conditioning, heating, engine-cooling, and electrical systems.
- Repair or replace parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
- Tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, and linkages.
- Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels.
- Repair radiator leaks.
- Install and repair accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.
- Repair manual and automatic transmissions.
- Repair or replace shock absorbers.
- Replace and adjust headlights.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
- Maintain equipment service and repair records.
- All other work related duties as assigned.
